Towards Bertram Derthona-2B Control Trapani: the words of coach Ramondino and Buffo
It's the eve of the championship for Bertram Yachts Derthona, awaiting the second midweek match of the first half of the season. The Lions' opponent will be 2B Control Trapani, tied in the standings (on 8 points) with Marco Ramondino's team and coming off a late win against Novipiù Casale Monferrato. " It's a period in which, with tight commitments ," the Bertram coach began, " there's no time to dwell on the previous performance; we need to focus on the next match. From the match against Orlandina, we must carry over the team's ability to produce a great defensive effort regardless of the attacking performance . "
Ramondino then shifted his focus to analyzing the Bianconeri's next opponents, who are a "devastating team due to their ability to play at speed. They have significant physical size, which allows them to cover the paint effectively and exploit mismatches with their backs to the basket. From our perspective, it will be important to be more flexible on offense, as a good solution leads to a better defensive transition, and to try, on defense, to match the physical impact Trapani offered throughout the game . "
Edoardo Buffo, who started in Bertram's last two games against Casale and Capo d'Orlando, is on the same wavelength, saying, " Sunday's victory was very important for morale. In a week with three games, it's important to maintain high concentration in the few available training sessions to prepare as best as possible for each individual match that awaits us . "
The point guard also focused on the analysis of 2B Control, recognizing that it is a team "full of talent that has in Corbett, Goins and Spizzichini important players for the category, capable of creating at any moment of the game. We will therefore have to be good at trying to limit their solutions . "
