Tomorrow the Bertram championship recovery on the field of Virtus Segafredo Bologna. The words of coach Walter De Raffaele
Just over two weeks after its original date, Bertram Derthona will reschedule its league match at home to Virtus Segafredo Bologna tomorrow evening . Postponed on October 20th due to the notorious flooding in Bologna, the Serie A Unipol matchday four match , scheduled for 20:4 PM at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) , has become a classic since Derthona's promotion to the top flight, especially considering the three playoff series they've faced in all three of the Bianconeri's postseason appearances. This first match of the 24/25 season represents a truly big match in the tournament, between the fourth-placed Tortona team and the only other undefeated team in Serie A, along with Trento. Tortona will attempt to build on its four-game winning streak between the league and the Champions League—and seven out of eight games this season—right at the midpoint of a tour de force that is testing the physical reserves of Severini and his teammates, who won three days ago against Sassari at home and are due to travel to Emilia three days later to face Reggio Emilia in the seventh round. Virtus, for its part, is coming off a 100-point showing against Treviso (104-97) at home, where they also beat Pistoia in addition to road victories against Trapani, Venezia, and Cremona.
MVP vs. BEST ITA: The best overall player and the best Italian player of the last round of Serie A will meet on the same court, based on the results of the voting promoted by Legabasket. The MVP award for Arturs Strautins capped a magnificent performance against Sassari by the Latvian forward from the Italian team Bertram, who scored 22 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and drew 8 fouls for a 30 rating, further proof of his strong start to the season. Meanwhile, the young Italian national team big man Momo Diouf earned the other weekly award with his new career-high 22 points.
WHERE TO WATCH IT ON TV The race will be streamed live on DAZN.
STATEMENTS: "As I said on the eve of the postponed game, I can only reiterate that Bologna is a complete team, a Euroleague team, with a deep roster at all positions. Compared to last year, they've even added physicality at the guard position, so they're a strong opponent who should inspire us to face them ," were coach De Raffaele 's pre-game comments . "Both teams must consider the fatigue effect from the close-quarters schedule, but—precisely in this regard—we must show progress in our mental aptitude to approach and tackle the rest of the game with aggression, even when our physical energy levels aren't at their peak."
