The youth team week: the U19 Eccellenza group continues to fly on the eve of two big matches
The U19 Eccellenza group 's winning streak continues uninterrupted . In Serie C Gold, the black and white team will face league leaders Collegno Basket at the PalaCamagna on Friday evening at 21:6 PM, following a fourth consecutive win that could have already sealed their playoff berth. Their home win against Ciriè, where Nicholas Errica's scoring prowess once again shone, not only secures a fifth-place finish tied with Don Bosco Crocetta Torino, but also moves them within six points of ninth-place Collegno, who were also down 0-2 in their head-to-head matchup.
In the U19 Eccellenza division, Luca Ansaloni's boys' ninth consecutive win and a loss to Blu Orobica Bergamo at Varese Academy allow them to join the two Lombardy teams in second place. Thus, Monday's highly anticipated clash in Bergamo will see a significant portion of the qualification for the National Final, reserved for the top three teams in Group 4.
Meanwhile, the Derthona Basketball Lab youth teams are celebrating the six players called up by Andrea Capobianco, head of the National Youth Sector, for the 2008 and 2009 Academy Italia camps .
