The challenge in Campobasso inaugurates the 2025 Autosped championship: coach Cutugno's words and the curiosities of the match
The trip to Campobasso inaugurates 2025 for Autosped in their first adventure in Serie A1. BCC Derthona will be on stage tomorrow at 18 pm at the Molisana Arena against The Molisana Campobasso, currently the third force in the tournament with a record of eight wins and three losses. The team coached by Sabatelli, at home, achieved successes against Alpo, Brescia and Faenza, losing instead against Schio and San Martino di Lupari. The first leg, the first official match played at the Facility of the Cittadella dello Sport, saw the victory of the Molise team by 70-79 at the end of a match largely led by the Giraffes.
As usual, coach Andrea Mancini presents the commitment that awaits the BCC. Orazio Cutugno: "A long and challenging away game awaits us against a team that is notoriously complete, well-organized and, like us, on the wave of enthusiasm for having reached the prestigious goal of qualifying for the Coppa Italia Final Four. We will try to express our game consistently, trying to limit the high offensive potential of Magnolia, which lights up especially with energetic plays and thanks to the support of its fans".
CURIOSITIES OF THE RACE – Campobasso is one of the most solid clubs in Italian women's basketball, in Serie A1 since the 2020/21 season. This season, the team from Molise made its European debut, taking part in the EuroCup Women.
There are two former players in the match, both wearing the Autosped jersey: Sofia Marangoni played in Campobasso for three seasons, from 2018 to 2021, while Nina Premasunac was part of the Magnolia roster in 2021/22.
Beatrice Attura (999 points) is 1 point away from reaching the milestone of 1000 points scored in the top division between the regular season and the playoffs.
