Good performance by Bertram Derthona – still without Klaudio Ndoja – in the 3rd-4th place final of the 2018 LNP Old Wild West Super Cup played at the PalaDozza in Bologna: coach Pansa's team prevailed against Treviso – who could not count on Uglietti and Imbrò – showing good initiatives both in attack and defense. The start of the match was characterized by the great balance between the two teams, who sought good circulation of the ball in attack: it was Tuoyo's baskets - combined with Bertram's defensive growth - that gave the Bianconeri the advantage after the first half (19-16 ). In the second quarter, Derthona maintained control of the match, reaching the double-digit margin with Alibegovic's triple (34-24) and forcing De' Longhi into a series of turnovers. Despite the reaction – marked by baskets from Alviti and Antonutti – of coach Menetti's team, Bertram leads 38-29 at the break. Derthona started the third period better, thanks to Ganeto's baskets, which allowed the Bianconeri to reach their maximum advantage (44-31): in the moment of greatest difficulty, De' Longhi produced a 9-0 run which brought the score closer coach Menetti's team. In the last minutes of the half, the Bianconeri found a new lead in the score, closing the quarter at 56-46. An 8-2 run signed by Alibegovic-Gergati at the start of the last quarter gave coach Pansa's team the maximum advantage (64-48), before a drop in offensive clarity and some turnovers allowed Treviso to reduce their gap (68-59 at 37'). In the last minutes Bertram was able to manage the margin accumulated previously and triumphed 72-61.
