DERTHONA The 2021/22 season renews the collaboration between the yellow and blue club and the Derthona Basketball, who have decided to continue a path that has seen them together for years. And they are relaunching it in this new year with a probative challenge: facing a senior championship with a roster of players all under 20 years of age, coinciding with the Under 19 Eccellenza team of the Tortona club.
STATEMENTS "We have been refining the relationship with Derthona for some years, in the 2021/22 season we have managed to have this team made up of all young people, a big step from a sporting point of view”, says the president proudly Stefano Barbieri. "We are working a lot on the boys, it is a medium-long term project, we do not expect great results immediately, we are placed in a C Silver which is of a high level, but we will do everything to make our boys comfortable in a tournament of this type. Ours is a long-term process that we hope will bear fruit, a bit like what happened last season, when we started quietly and then ended up playing in the playoffs. I repeat, the category is demanding, in our group there are at least four teams aiming to move up and we will face the first of these in their debut on Friday, but we will not be discouraged by anything".
