Group departure for the youth teams: tomorrow first tests for the three Eccellenza teams
Three seasonal debuts in one fell swoop. Thursday, September 8th is a special day for the Derthona Basketball Lab . Just over two weeks after the start of preseason training, on the same day all three of Derthona Basket's Eccellenza youth teams will make their first outing of the new 2022/23 season. Two of them will be officially playing in the same tournament, while the third will be a friendly. The Under 15 and Under 17 teams will both be playing until Saturday in Lissone at the 2nd Summer JIT , the summer version of the Junior International Tournament organized for years in the Brianza town by APL Lissone, while the Under 19 team will mark the start of the season with a home test. This will also be the first time we'll see the many new faces on the Juventus rosters, whom we'll be introducing in more detail in the coming days.
The U15s will kick things off first . Coached by newcomer Federico Tosarelli, the team will face Olimpia Milano on Thursday morning . Both teams, along with Basket Lodi, are in one of two groups that will determine the finals on the final day based on the 1st to 3rd place rankings in their two groups. The same format will be used for the U17 tournament , where the boys, led by another summer addition to the Bertram Yachts youth coaching staff, Enrico Rocco, will face off against Pallacanestro Varese and Pallacanestro Desio for a chance to secure a spot in the most prestigious final. The games will be played between the PalaFarè on Via Caravaggio and the Palestra on Via Fermi. For the U19s , led on this occasion by Tosarelli, there is a friendly match with Progetto Giovani Cantù just around the corner , the first of five tests scheduled until October 1st, all on the home court of the PalaCamagna in Tortona , for the group that this year will also face the top regional senior championship of Serie C Gold.
MEDIA Live streaming coverage is not planned for the Summer JIT games in Lissone, while the U19 friendly match will also represent the return of the appointment with Facebook live broadcasts on the official Derthona Basketball Lab page , a habit that will also be a constant in the 2022/23 season after the hundreds of hours of live broadcasts ensured in the last one.
