BKT EuroCup draw: Baglietto Derthona's regular-season opponents revealed
Le Mans Sarthe Basket, Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem, Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, Aris Thessaloniki Bettson, Rostock Seawolves, and Riga Zelli face Baglietto Derthona Tortona in Group A of the 2026/27 BKT EuroCup regular season, the draw for which took place today at lunchtime in Barcelona.
These seven teams have never met before, especially since the Bianconeri are making their debut in the second-largest continental competition organized by Euroleague Basketball. Coached by Mario Fioretti, the team will have to fight to finish among the top four in the standings after the fourteen round-robin tournament and thus qualify for the playoffs, which will begin in the round of 16 and will be played in best-of-three series, including the title match.
The schedule will be announced later, but for now, Derthona's home debut will be at the Nova Arena on Wednesday, September 30th, against Spanish side San Pablo Burgos. The opening match will be followed by two away games: Slovenia, against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, and Latvia, against Riga Zelli. They then return to their home game in mid-October, facing one of the group's most intriguing matches, due to their reputation and the passionate support of their opponents: Greek side Aris Thessaloniki.
Representing Derthona Basket in Barcelona were President Marco Picchi and Operations Director Vittorio Perticarini.
