The partnership between Derthona and Simecom is renewed. This morning at the Tortona headquarters of Simecom, a company specialized in the supply of electricity and gas for private individuals, artisans and companies, the partnership between the company and Derthona was presented. The company logo was affixed to the Lions' overshirt, which captain Luca Garri donated to the top management of Sinecom and, on the occasion of the home match that the Bianconeri will play on Saturday 8 April at the PalaOltrepò in Voghera against Mens Sana Siena, it will be organized the Simecom Match Sponsor.

Thus Marco Picchi, general manager of Orsi Derthona: “I would like to thank Stefano Guazzo and Simecom for inviting us this morning and for the great attention they have always shown towards Tortona and the sporting initiatives of this city. Simecom has always recognized the work of our company and for years has been one of our main supporters both from a substantial and emotional point of view. These are the drives that lead us to continue our work, especially in an important moment like the current one, in which the team is achieving extraordinary results and while we see the return to Voghera ever closer. On my behalf and the entire Derthona board of directors, I would like to extend a big thank you to Simecom".

These are the words of Stefano Guazzo, commercial director of Simecom: “We are happy to confirm our support for Derthona for the tenth year, after the beginning with the Chiara Gas brand and the subsequent acquisitions by Simecom. Over the years, the relationship that binds us to Derthona has consolidated and grown, so much so that it has led us to think of a nice surprise for the fans with a Simecom Day that we will organize for next April 8th. Without wanting to reveal our plans, I can say that it will be an important event, which we want to use to all experience a beautiful day of celebration together."

The word then passed to Demis Cavina, who thanked Simecom for their support and then spoke about Sunday's match against Ferentino: “We will face an opponent who has great ambitions and who has recently changed coach. Ferentino will be determined to finish this season well, to regain the place in the playoffs which is their minimum objective. Our desire is to continue to do well and have fun, on the wings of the enthusiasm produced by the latest results and thanks to the climate that I saw again this week. We worked with intensity, playing a friendly match on Wednesday against Piacenza to keep the quality of our work high, at a time when, like many other teams, we are dealing with various ailments, first of all the one that affected Phil's wrist Greene. Our intent is to play with our usual weapons, without distorting our game despite Ferentino having talent, centimeters and kilos in all departments. The watchword is continuity on the pitch, which usually also coincides with continuity of results."

Thus the captain, Luca Garri: “We are in good form and we want to keep our ambitions high for the match in Ferentino. We have achieved a good position in a ranking which however is very short and does not allow for distractions, therefore we will take to the field with the awareness that a victory more or less can have a particular specific weight. We face a team that has talent, kilos and centimeters of a superior category and that has recently changed coach. They will go up to Casale Monferrato with a great desire to recover and it will be up to us to do our best to repel their assault".

General manager Marco Picchi then outlined the situation relating to PalaOltrepò: “The works in Voghera are completed; the installation of the pitchside grandstand is missing, which will take place at the end of next week. At that point, only two formal steps will remain: the public entertainment commission for usability is scheduled for Friday 24th, while the FIP commissioner's inspection is scheduled for Monday 27th for the approval of the PalaOltrepò for the A2 series. We reason that Sunday's match against Ferentino is the last match we will play in Casale, a sports hall that we want to leave with a victory to close in the best possible way a journey which, since last year's playoffs and up to the last matches, has given us great satisfaction . To date there are all the conditions to play the match with Scafati on March 11th. Next week we will present a series of projects to allow those who want to return to follow us on a permanent basis in Voghera. I would like to thank the Municipality of Voghera and the Olympia Voghera company, because both the public body and the company that manages the plant worked hard to make this happen. Everyone, starting from the director of the works, the architect Claudio Bruno, onwards, fought with their respective inconveniences to allow us to return to the PalaOltrepò in a reasonable time: we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for allowing us to return home before the end of the season."
