The Derthona staff is strengthened: Andrea Baldi arrives from Trento
In the last three years Turin and Trento (Serie A and EuroCup) and now Tortona for a new chapter of his work: Andrea Baldi is the new Physical Trainer of the first team.
Born in Piombino in 1970, Baldi boasts a past as an athlete in the long jump and triple jump, a specialty in which he won some Italian youth titles.
Once his career as an athlete was over, he was a Physical Trainer in athletics and volleyball, before moving on to basketball: in 2008 he completed the specific FIP/CNA training. Andrea has worked a lot in the National Youth Teams sector, being part of the staff of the Under 15 Men's team in 2010, the Under 15 Women's team in 2011 and the Under 16 Women's team capable of winning European silver (behind Spain) in edition held in 2012 in Miskolc, Hungary.
He then was part of the staff of the Under 18 Women's National Team and was Assistant Coach of the Senior Women's National Team. At Club level, Baldi held the role of Physical Trainer of Basket Golfo Piombino, before accepting - in 2017 - the proposal of FIAT Torino Auxilium, in Serie A. With the Piedmontese team he won the 2018 Italian Cup in Florence, at end of the final won against Brescia. He also remains in Turin in 2018/19, while last season he held the role of Physical Trainer at L'Aquila Basket Trento, also in the top flight.
Now he comes to Bertram Yachts Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
