A solid Tezenis beat Bertram Derthona, at the end of a low-scoring match characterized by a high level of physicality and contacts. After a first half that led in terms of scoring, the Lions first suffered a comeback and then were overtaken by Verona, who in the last quarter extended their lead to 68-62 at the siren.
The Lions started very well and controlled the first period for the entire duration (13-19 at 10'), with Cannon's initiatives under the basket. In the second half, Derthona also reached a double-digit margin, thanks to a series of three-point baskets, before suffering a partial return from Scaligera, crowned by Greene's triple at the end, which made it 34-40 at the break. Upon returning from the locker rooms, Verona overtook with a stunning 9-0, before the Juventus reaction: Sanders and Cannon gave Derthona the new lead (50-54 in the 30th minute). In the last half Bertram is unable to find solutions against the defensive aggressiveness proposed by the home team, who take away easy solutions for the Lions: Verona prevails 68-62.
