High level Student-Athlete Project: Derthona renews its membership
A high-level project for the most deserving young people, which Derthona Basket joined last year with more than twenty kids and involving over ten schools in the province of Alessandria and the city of Voghera, starts again this year , despite the difficulties caused by the spread of Covid-19 which led students and athletes to rethink the way they live their activity.
ʺThis is a project of the Ministry of Education, University and Research which, together with CONI, aims to promote synergy between schools and sports clubs to encourage children to succeed in both activities – the words of Tommaso Della Godenza, Head of the Juventus Club's guesthouse, who last year participated in the presentation of the project dedicated to Sports Tutors and who remains the coordinator of the activity for the club -. We believe that, even in this difficult situation, the response of our children will be positive, because the project allows them to have further support to better succeed both in sport and in school. The trait d'union between MIUR and CONI is the IUL, which provides tools that facilitate the work of teachers and studentsʺ.
It is therefore a high-level project that Derthona will promote among its athletes again this season, with the aim of facilitating them and putting them in the best conditions to combine school and sporting activities.
