First scrimmage of Bertram Derthona Basket in Salice D'Ulzio
Today we saw, in the splendid mountain setting of Salice D'Ulzio, the challenge between the renowned Fiat Auxilium Torino and Bertram Derthona Basket. A climate of great enthusiasm hovers around the players, inside the small building of the host village. There are many fans following the top flight team but on the parterre you can also see a good group of Tortona people who are always nice to see following us.

First chiaroscuro outing for Derthona, who in the splendid mountain setting of Salice d'Ulzio faced Fiat Auxilium Torino in a scrimmage in which the score was reset to zero at the end of each quarter. Without Melvin Johnson and Milos Divac, precautionary in the box due to fatigue, the Lions suffered the physicality of their opponents, built to participate in European cups and already in a good position from a defensive point of view. After a good start, Derthona accumulated a gap on Fiat's fast offensive transitions, failing to respond also due to a poor three-point percentage (4/35 at the end of the four periods). In the final, it's Diante Garrett's show, top scorer of the match with 22 points and already in full championship shape.
The Bianconeri will return to the parquet on Wednesday afternoon, guests of Ucc Piacenza at the Codogno Campus in a two-ball scrimmage at 18.30 pm.
So Coach Lorenzo Pansa: “We found the difficulties we expected from a physical point of view, both in building play and in attacking the area. Despite this we managed to construct good long-range conclusions, where however we were unable to achieve with a good percentage. Defensively, in light of the two training sessions in which the topic was discussed, we alternated moments of good intensity, such as during the third quarter, with moments in which we committed serious carelessness, an aspect that will have to be reduced to a minimum already in the next future."
