Here are the pre-match statements starting from coach Cavina: “In this first away match of the return round we will have to replicate the last match played at home where we managed to defend continuously for almost the entire duration of the match. We will play against a team that has distributed talent and that manages to exploit it in the best possible way, resulting in one of the best attacks in the league which also shines in home games. Certainly, a lot of possessions pass through the Mays-Renzi axis but, as the statistics demonstrate, there are many players who can score and practically everyone can do it outside of the arc."
Luca Garri: “We have to continue playing as we did in the last matches before the break. We are coming off 3 consecutive victories and we know that Trapani, especially at home, are a very dangerous team. They are two points below us, we must be ready to fight. The group is ready, seeing Simoncelli with us in training gives us further motivation and there are all the conditions to do well. We played a friendly match during the week to get back into the rhythm of the game, we're all feeling pretty good: in short, we're ready.”
After the brief break granted during the All Star Game, the team met again last Monday where, in the first part of the afternoon training, captain Simoncelli joined the group. The playmaker's differentiated work continued throughout the week and on Sunday he could be deployed in the squad.
