USSI Award and Piedmontese Basketball Festival: the Derthona, Derthona Lab and BCC Derthona awards
Yesterday, Monday 12 December, was a day full of recognition for Derthona and BCC Derthona Basket.
The first to be awarded was coach Marco Ramondino, as coach of the year in Piedmont by USSI Subalpina 'Ruggero Radice'. In the splendid setting of Palazzo Ceriana Mayneri in Turin, it was Massimo Galli. Bertram Derthona's assistant coach in 2022/23, the season in which Marco Ramondino was elected LBA coach of the year, is now the Club's chief scout.
In the afternoon, the traditional ceremony took place at the Teatro Cinico Angelini in Crescentino Piedmontese Basketball Festival organized by FIP Piemonte, which every year undertakes to reward the teams and athletes who have distinguished themselves most during the calendar year.
Bertram Derthona received recognition as Piedmontese excellence, Thomas Baldasso an individual award as a player of Piedmontese excellence and for the Scudetto won with the EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, while Luke Severini he was awarded as a "Piedmontese" athlete in the national team.
The Derthona Basketball Lab received recognition for the promotion to the Interregional Serie B, while the BCC Derthona Basket was awarded for the Italian A2 Women's Cup and as Piedmontese excellence, for the victory of the Scudetto and the regional 3x3 Under 16 title and for the victory of the Under 17 Elite women's championship.
A day full of prizes for the Clubs, protagonists of a great sporting year again in 2023.
