Born in Castellammare di Stabia (NA) on 04/03/1996, Mascolo took his first steps in the Basket Team Stabia and at the age of fifteen he made his debut in Serie C with the Nuova Polisportiva Stabia shirt.
In 2012 he moved to PMS Torino, with which he completed his youth career; in 2013/14 the point guard is part of the roster available to coach Stefano Pillastrini who plays in the DNA Gold championship. In the following season - still wearing the same shirt - he won promotion to Serie A following the 3-2 success in the playoff final against Agrigento.
He made his debut in the top flight with the Turin shirt in the 2015/16 season and then concluded the year in Serie A2 with the Agrigento shirt, with which he reached the playoffs, surrendering to Fortitudo Bologna - then defeated in the promotion final by Brescia - by 3- 0 in the quarterfinals.
Bruno began the following season wearing the Latina jersey, with which he played eleven matches, before moving to Mens Sana Siena where he finished the year. In 2017/18 the point guard played for Cuore Basket Napoli, with whom he produced the best season of his career in terms of points - 12 - scored on average. Last year Mascolo played in Jesi, in the East Group of the Serie A2 championship, scoring 10.7 points per game to which he added 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
Mascolo's experiences with the Italian youth national teams are also significant: in particular in 2014 the new Bertram player won gold, with the Under 18 team coached by coach Andrea Capobianco, in the prestigious 'Albert Schweitzer' Tournament in Mannheim , following the 86-73 victory in the final against the USA; in 2015 the player continued his career in the youth national teams with the Under 20 jersey.
