A Derthona all heart and intensity demonstrates all its desire to react to difficulties and comes out on top, overcoming a tough Npc Rieti 89-70. The Bianconeri entered the match on the right foot, taking control of the proceedings thanks to two three-point baskets by Sanna, soon imitated by Greene and Ricci. Derthona turns the mark of the first quarter at 21-17, then extends at the start of the second period with a good team defense and baskets from Ricci and Cosey (30-20 at 15'). Captain Benedusi and Sims (11 at halftime) bring the score back to Rieti, who goes into halftime at 38-34). Derthona, however, does not take its foot off the accelerator and, driven by Greene's precision (20 to 30'), regains the double-digit lead already in the 30th minute (63-53). The Lions also proved themselves to be so in the fourth period, always supporting a particularly precise attack from distance with their defense (15/36 in the final).
