The second match in less than twenty-four hours did not smile at Derthona, who after yesterday's success in the Ghisolfi Trophy, were overcome 76-60 by a lively OraSi Ravenna. On the neutral pitch of Fidenza, Ravenna had a positive impact in the first quarter and, led by the former player Derrick Marks, took the lead 17-26 after 10'. Without Offenses and with Cosey used only for a few minutes, Derthona shortened near the interval, to 35-42 in the 20th minute; the restart of the game offers the same plots as the first twenty minutes, with Derthona engaged in a tough but not always continuous chase, until the final 60-76.
Thus coach Demis Cavina: “We needed to manage the minutes and it is for this reason that I preferred to save some of my players. The not positive start affected the rest of the match, even though there was certainly no lack of desire to get back into the match and try tactical situations together that had only been tested in training up to now.”
