In the press conference Cavina pointed out that, now fully operational with a 9-man rotation and the players in good health, this type of defense and with this intensity could put any opponent in difficulty and so it was.
Ferrara never gave the feeling of being able to be in the game, they even sank to minus 25. We start immediately with an 11-2 run which immediately forces coach Furlani to call timeout and this generates good results as the first quarter ends 18-18. The game seems to be in balance but from 29-30 for the guests comes a 12-0 run which puts Tortona ahead by 11 (41-30 with 1.34 minutes left before half time).
