New face in the Juventus house: Gianluca Mazzoncini is the Physical Trainer of the first team
Bertram Derthona is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Gianluca Mazzoncini for the role of Physical Trainer of the first team.
CAREER – Born in Pistoia on 24/01/1971, Mazzoncini was a national level athlete for twelve years, in the 110 meter hurdles specialty. He began his career as a Physical Trainer in football, working with Poggibonsi (National Amateur Championship) in the 1996/97 season.
Between the end of the 1s and the beginning of the 2001s he accumulated important experiences in basketball teams: in Pistoia (where he worked with both the youth team and the first team) he reached the B2004, while in Veroli - a club where he remained since 1 to 1 – he was among the protagonists of the two consecutive promotions, from C2001 to B02, achieved in the 2002/03 and XNUMX/XNUMX years.
Mazzoncini then continued his career in Livorno, both with the men's Serie A (from 2004 to 2007) and with the women's A2 (from 2005 to 2007). In 2007/08 you moved to France, to Paris Levallois. She returned to Italy the following year, signing with Virtus Bologna, a club in which she remained for three consecutive seasons and with which she won the Eurochallenge (in 2009).
Starting from 2011 he returned to work in Pistoia, a club where he remained until the end of the 2018/19 season: with the Tuscan team he won promotion to Serie A in 2012/13 and then scored three times (in 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2016/17) qualification for the Scudetto playoffs. From 2015 to 2018 he also collaborated with Pistoiese (National Amateur Football Championship) dealing with both physical preparation and the re-education of injured people and the development of monitoring systems (GPS, Firstbeat cardio system).
Gianluca holds a degree in Sports Science and since 2015 has been a teacher and examiner at the CNA courses for National Basketball Physical Trainer (national level). Since 2014 he has also been the Firstbeat Manager for Sports Telemetry in Italy. Now he arrives at Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
