Bertram Derthona wins and convinces in the last match of the second phase of Group A of the IBSA Next Gen Cup 2023. At the PalaMarchetti in Rovereto, the team coached by Ansaloni accelerates from the first quarter, rejects Varese's comeback attempts and progressively extends in the recovery. Three players in double figures and a good contribution from everyone are the keys to today's success. The Bianconeri will challenge EA7 Emporio Armani Milano in the quarter-final of the Final Eight in Naples (10-12 April).
Balanced start to the match in Rovereto in the last match of the second phase of the Bertram Derthona: after 5' the scoreboard reads 16 all. In the following moments, triples by Jankovic, Baldi (3) and baskets by Zanetti produced a 16-0 which closed the first half at 32-16 for the Bianconeri. In the second half, despite Varese's comeback attempts, the team coached by Ansaloni continues to lead in pace and scoring, closing the first half ahead 45-34.
Upon returning from the changing rooms, Derthona, who continues to leave their mark on the match, noticeably tightens their defense and finds great fluidity in the attacking half of the field, finding many good solutions that allow the Lions to make the decisive push in the match: the fraction, closed by baskets from Errica and Tandia, ends with a score of 67-41. In the last quarter Bertram manages the margin accumulated previously and prevails with a score of 86-67.
