An extraordinary match for forty minutes marks a new appointment with history for Bertram Derthona, who tomorrow at 18pm will play the final of the Frecciarossa Final Eight 2022 against AX Armani Exchange Milano. The team trained by coach Ramondino leads the match right from the start, putting a remarkable level of attention and energy on the parquet. The five players in double figures (Macura and Filloy 18 p, Sanders 16 p, Mascolo 15 p and Daum 12 p) seal a well-deserved success.

Start of the match at a high offensive pace: Sanders was immediately the protagonist for Bertram, with three triples and 11 points which favored the extension of the team coached by Ramondino, which reached the double-digit margin at 24-14 and closed the first quarter ahead 24 -18. In the second period, Filloy's plays (10 points in the half) pushed Derthona to their maximum advantage, 38-21, before the reaction of Virtus, who shortened the gap to -9 at the interval (50-41) set by the triple of Hervey at the end.

At the start of the second half, a burst from Macura (13 points in the period) further pushed Derthona, who gave the match a new push, reaching +18 (64-46). Bertram continues to play excellent basketball, finding continuity in her outside shots and further extending the score up to +24 (80-56) at the end of the third quarter. In the last partial, Virtus significantly raises the level of physicality of its defense, significantly reducing the gap (86-75), before the new acceleration of Bertram, which is worth +16 (94-78) with 2 minutes to go. The last few minutes sealed Derthona's victory 94-82.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the game: ʺCongratulations to our players for a match with great technical and emotional content, in the final part of the match there was great character to support the level of physicality of Virtus that we are not used to facing. I believe that against teams of different tonnage than yours you shouldn't be tempted to control the game and stop. In the fourth quarter, playing at half court, the field narrows, so you have to accept that some shots aren't perfect but it's important to maintain a good flow of the game because the perfect game doesn't exist. In these matches we can't do our homework, we have to play with courage so today it was important to have demonstrated how each player made a contribution.".
