'Meet The Best 2022 – Building the future': an edition of great interest at the Teatro Civico
Over one hundred people, including professionals and enthusiasts, at Civic Theater of Tortona for the 2022 edition of 'Meet The Best' by Title 'Building the future'. The conference, organized in collaboration by Derthona Basket and A Better Basketball and sponsored by the Municipality of Tortona, the Cassa di Risparmio di Tortona Foundation and Mapei, moderated by Mino Taveri, saw some prominent personalities from Italian and international basketball taking turns on stage .
To open the event, after the introduction of Andrea Bassani, co-founder of ABB, were the speakers Marco Picchi, President Bertram Derthona, e Federico Chiodi, Mayor of Tortona, hosts. Ferencz Bartocci, CEO of Bertram Derthona, then inaugurated the first work session ('The Cittadella project and other national and international experiences') illustrating the activity of the Club and of Sviluppo Cittadella, the management company of the Cittadella dello Sport of Tortona. 'Meet The Best 2022 – Building the future' it then continued with the contributions of Gianandrea Barreca, architect of the Barreca & La Varra studio who oversaw and illustrated the technical aspects of the project for the new Tortona arena, of Maria Angeles Vidal, director of the Alqueria of Valencia, and of Maurizio Gherardini, General Director of Fenerbahce Istanbul, who spoke with Taveri, collecting the most important aspects of the speeches that preceded him.
After the break, the conference resumed with the second work session, entitled 'the experience of EuroLeague Basketball, the American case histories, the testimony of the LBA and the great names from Tortona', opened by the testimony of Diego Guillen, Senior Competition Director of EuroLeague Basketball, which was followed by the first intervention in Italy and Europe by Marshall Glickman since his appointment as Acting CEO of EuroLeague Basketball.
To close 'Meet The Best 2022 – Building the future' they were the dialogue between Luca Chiabotti, co-founder of ABB, e Umberto Gandini, President of Legabasket, and the question time of Daniele Dallera, editor-in-chief of the sports editorial team of Corriere della Sera, with some of the speakers who spoke on the day.
