Victory for Bertram Derthona on the first day of the Green Group of the LNP 2019 Old Wild West Super Cup, at the end of a match conducted from the start against Junior Casale. Coach Ramondino chooses Tavernelli, Gaines, Martini, Pullazi and Gražulis to start the match, which flows in great balance in its opening stages. Both teams look for team play and find good offensive solutions: after a swing of overtaking and counter-overtaking, coach Ferrari stops the game following Tavernelli's triple (15-17 in the 6th minute). The Bianconeri also maintained the advantage in the following minutes: the first half of the game was closed by a triple from Buffo (21-26). At the start of the second period, coach Ramondino's team increased the score, finding the maximum advantage of +9 (22-31) before suffering a comeback from the home team, who reached the score at 35 (at 16') with a triple from Sirchia. The first half ends with two free throws from Tavernelli, which give Bertram the lead (40-42). Upon returning from the locker rooms the balance remains on the pitch, with the two teams playing with competitive spirit and intensity on both halves of the pitch and finding good solutions in attack: in the 30th minute the guests continue to lead in the score (53-56). At the start of the last quarter, Derthona produced a break thanks to the plays of De Laurentiis and Tavernelli, who forced coach Ferrari to interrupt the match at 60-65 in the 35th minute: the Bianconeri further extended their lead with three-point baskets - again from Tavernelli and by Martini – which is worth +11 (62-73) in the 37th minute. The finale rewards Bertram, who triumphs 67-78: the Bianconeri's next match will be Wednesday 11 September 2019 at 20.30 pm at the PalaCima in Alessandria against Basket Torino (match valid for the second day of the Green Group of the LNP 2019 Old Wild Super Cup West).

Thus coach Ramondino at the end of the match: ʺWe are happy with the application of our players, even when things went less well: from an offensive point of view we played a good game, changing sides of the ball well and building good shots. We must be happy from this point of view considering that we are in the third preseason game: the team is making steps forward from exit to exit. This is what we asked of our lineup, designed with room for growth over the course of the year: we are a fairly young team that wants to have room for improvement and ideas even at the end of this pre-season phase. We don't have a clear deadline for the return of Formenti, who has pain in his hand: now is not the time to make attempts. For us this is a moment of verification, we must not consider the pre-season matches as an objective, because the mentality must be to find continuity on the things done well and improve the less good ones..
