Success in the provincial Derby for Bertram Yachts Derthona, in a Derby full of emotions and resolved by two plays from the new Lion Jamarr Sanders in the final stages of the match. The crowd at PalaOltrepò was the backdrop for some great occasions during the Provincial Derby between Bertram Yachts and Novipiù: the start of the match did not disprove expectations, with two teams finding joint offensive solutions. After a brief initial chase, the hosts took charge of the inertia of the pace and score of the first half of the game, driven by triples from Gražulis and Čepić: in the 10th minute Derthona led 24-14. The Bianconeri increased their maximum advantage at the start of the second set, with a basket from Severini (28-16 in the 11th minute), forcing coach Ferrari to stop the match. In the following moments, Casale manages to close the gap, returning to just two possessions following Valentini's triple (34-28 in the 16th minute). The break in favor of the guests continues fueled by Sims and Roberts: it is after the latter's basket (34-31) that coach Ramondino interrupts the operations. The final actions of the first half saw Novipiù reduce the gap further: in the 20th minute Bertram led 39-38. Upon returning from the locker rooms, the balance on the pitch remains between the two teams, who respond action after action to the opposing initiatives: it is then thanks to Gražulis, Martini and Tavernelli that the hosts regain a two-possession margin (52-47 in the 26th minute ). Martinoni and Tomasini score the match at 52. In the final stages, Derthona takes the lead again, closing the quarter ahead 56-53. The last period is opened by Mascolo and by Valentini and Denegri, whose basket allows the guest to overtake (58-59 in the 33rd minute); we then enter the last five minutes of the match of an exciting derby with Bertram and Novipiù tied at 63. Sanders, Severini, Sims and Martinoni move the score, which always sees Derthona with a slight advantage (70-69 at 39'): after some actions that don't find the basket, it's another tap-in by Sanders - to correct his penetrating shot - that gives the home team full possession (72-69 with 17 seconds to go until the siren). Roberts goes 1/2 to the line, Sanders is glacial and gives the Lions 74-70 with 9 seconds left: Roberts' next attempt misses the target and Derthona prevails 74-70.
