Defeat in the sprint for the Bertram Derthona, who only gives up in the final seconds Trapani: the team of coach Ramondino plays a leonine match for all forty minutes, leading the match for large stretches.

The Bianconeri played on equal terms with their opponents despite the forced shortened rotations: Bertram, who went to Sicily without Ganeto and Garri, was forced to give up Nibbles from the first minutes ea Knowles for the entire shoot. What made the difference in favor of Trapani in the final sprint were some details that allowed the Sicilians to achieve success. Worth noting is the good contribution coming off the bench Lusvarghi e buffo as well as the returnee Claudio Ndoja.

The start of the match was characterized by the great offensive quality offered by the two teams, who - thanks to a fluid circulation of the ball - found the basket continuously. Then it's the Bianconeri who lose Nibbles after 3 minutes due to a physical problem, to produce the first break in the score with the baskets of Alibegović e Tuoyo (23-16 at 8'): the first quarter ends with the formation of coach Ramondino leading 28-25 over their opponents.

Even in the second half the two teams continue to find the way to the basket (35 equal at 15'): they are Knowles e Clarke the great protagonists of this partial for Bertram (who also temporarily loses Jargons due to a muscle problem in the 16th minute) and Trapani. In the last minutes of the first half he is great Alibegović to keep the Bianconeri ahead: at half-time the score was 47-43.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, Tortona further raises the intensity of its defense, but the opponents are surgical in finding some baskets at the end of the 24 seconds which frustrate the efforts of the Bianconeri (forced to also give up Knowles from this half due to a muscle problem): thanks to these achievements by Renzi and Clarke Trapani remains close in the score (59-61 at 27'). Coach Parente's team found the advantage after chasing for large stretches of the match following a new penetrating basket from Clarke (63-61 at 28'): at the third siren the score was 65-66. Even the opening minutes of the last quarter are characterized by the great balance between the two teams: it is then Clarke and Ayers - with a pair of consecutive three-point baskets - who push the home team forward (78-72 in the 36th minute).

Bertram reacts to the moment of difficulty with a good defensive intensity which allows the Bianconeri to remain in contact, before finding the new parity at 80 with a triple ndoja. After Pullazi's tap-in basket, Trapani's defense forces Blizzard to a lost ball: then two free throws from Renzi, following a systematic foul by Tortona, gave the home team the victory 84-80.

Championship eve for Bertram Derthona who, after finding success against Scafati in Marco Ramondino's debut on the Juventus bench, will be busy tomorrow, Sunday 28th, at 18pm on the Trapani pitch. After the first days in Tortona, the coach outlined an initial assessment, highlighting the steps that the team can take during the year and then focusing on the presentation of the next opponents: ʺOur work starts from the awareness that some steps are necessary – comments coach Ramondino – to become more of a team and be ready to play away from home against a team like Trapani, which boasts some important individuals. In fact, Renzi is now a star of the roster, Rotnei Clarke is an American capable of making a difference in Serie A and Ayers is an elegant athlete and an excellent shooter. Around them there are Italians who bring their own contribution to the cause.

Sunday's match, the second in a week, will also be another opportunity for the team to ʺfight the ups and downs that characterized our start to the season. Right now – continues coach Ramondino – we must have the pleasure of discovering our qualities day after day and entering into the mindset so that we can grow through difficulties.

Also presenting tomorrow's match against the Sicilians was Gabriele Spizzichini, who described the team's week and the strengths of Bertram's next opponents:
ʺWe arrive at the match against Trapani at the end of a week that was anything but normal, which also saw the change of coach. We are trying to modify our game following the dictates of the new coach, even if we haven't been very lucky in terms of physicality and injuries in this period. Trapani has a backbone in Renzi, an American from Serie A in Clarke and an excellent player in Ayers: they are the three offensive reference points of the team. We will have to be good at imposing our own pace on the match as we already did against Scafatiʺ.
