Brilliant success for Bertram Derthona, who in the high-altitude match against Apu OWW Udine fielded a very high level defense for all forty minutes. In attack, led by an almost infallible Sanders (25p, 5/7 from three points at the end) and by the collective clarity in key moments (triples by D'Ercole and Severini in the final), she manages to play a solid game which allows her to pocket the two points.
High intensity first quarter at the PalaOltrepò: Derthona, led by a very precise Sanders from beyond the arc (3/3), are ahead 20-17 at 10'. In the second half Udine put their heads forward thanks to a series of triples, before the Lions increased the intensity of their defense and found extreme fluidity in attack, ending the first half at 36-30. Upon returning from the locker rooms, Bertram widened their gap, then Udine - thanks to baskets from Giuri and Johnson - first made an impact and then overtook (48-52 at 30'). In the final period, the baskets from outside by Sanders and Severini open up Udine's defensive box, which at the same time finds no rhythm in attack: Derthona produces the partial that definitively splits the game and gives them a 76-59 success.
