The start of the match was characterized by the balance between the two teams, who found effective offensive solutions: two consecutive baskets by Martini, who was part of the match together with Spanghero, set the score at 10-9 in the 5th minute. The guests then found the advantage with Spanghero's own lay-up, which made it 14-15 in the 7th minute; the partial - fueled by Spanghero and Miles - forces coach Ramondino to stop the match at 14-20 in the 8th minute. In the final stages of the half, Cannon and Gazzotti bring Derthona back into contact: at 10' it's 20-22.
