Mascherpa in Derthona 2016/17
Giulio Mascherpa is Derthona Basket's first purchase for the 2016/2017 season.
Giulio born in 1992 started in basketball in 2011/2012 dividing his time between Pavia and Bergamo in the C championship.
In 2012/2013 his first experience in Dnb at Francavilla where he finished with an average of 11.6 points per game.
In 2013/2014 he played part of the season in Forlì before arriving in Lecco where he remained for two seasons: the first with 16.1 points per game and the second, the one just concluded, with 18.1 points per game with 45% shooting from 2 and 36% shooting from 3 to which he added 3.7 assists per game.
General manager Picchi said he was very happy to welcome Giulio to the team, underlining his great motivation and desire to emerge at A2 level.
Giulio, on the other hand, is very happy - "I've been walking around for a few days with a smile permanently on my face. Many friends who played there spoke highly of Tortona to me. It was the opportunity I was waiting for and when the contact arrived, I didn't think too much about it and accepted with enthusiasm. I know that Tortona wants to confirm itself as a reality in A2, I spoke with Cavina of whom I had excellent impressions. I'm sure I made the right choice and I can't wait to start this new adventure."
