Marco Spissu is the Playmaker of Derthona's All-Time Quintet in Serie A2
The voting for the Best Playmaker in the history of Derthona Basket in Serie A10 ended today, Friday 2020 April 2: the winner was Marco Spissu, thanks to the preferences expressed by the fans on www.derthonabasket.it, the Club's official website, and on the Derthona Basket App.
Carried out in collaboration with Gruppodigit, which this year joined the Club's team of partners and a passionate follower of the Lions' events, the final phase of the survey saw hundreds of fans express their preference on who was, between Spissu, Glenn Cosey and Alex Simoncelli, the best playmaker in the six championships that Derthona has played in Serie A2.
The triumph, as mentioned, was Marco Spissu, capable of imposing himself on Cosey and Simoncelli. Having arrived in Tortona in the 2015/16 season, Spissu was given the role of starting point guard by Demis Cavina, repaying his trust with almost 10 points and 3.6 assists on average in the thirty regular season games played with the Juventus jersey.
A performance that the player born in '95 was able to further elevate in the ten playoff games in which he took the field, ending at 10.1 points and 3.3 assists per match, also showing important leadership and a significant ability to guide the offensive play of the team at the time coached by Cavina.
The contest to elect the Club's best guard in Serie A2 will start in the next few hours. Playing for a place next to Spissu will be Ramon Galloway, Derrick Marks (companion of Sassari's current point guard in the 2015/16 season in Tortona) and Phil Greene IV.
The Best All-Time Quintet begins to take shape: the first member is Marco Spissu.
