Marco Lusvarghi: “I'm in Tortona to grow. We work very well here"

Marco Lusvarghi: “I'm in Tortona to grow. We work very well here"

One of the latest summer arrivals at home Bertram Derthona was Marco Lusvarghi, a winger born in '97 who will complete the team's forward department. The player is among the youngest on the roster available to Lorenzo Pansa and has chosen to play in Tortona for ˝the possibility I have to improve both from a technical and personal point of view. After last season in Roseto I preferred a calmer choice: in this team there are many more mature people than me who can help me grow˝.

The seriousness of the project and the present and future prospects were decisive in convincing Lusvarghi to enthusiastically accept the company's proposal. It is the player himself who says that ˝from the beginning I understood that we work very well here, the project is ambitious and everyone must guarantee their maximum commitment. The Cittadella dello Sport is a further sign of Tortona's desire for growth˝. In this sense, the increased number of promotions and relegations will make the next A2 championship even more complex than in the past, because ˝several teams, including Tortona, have strengthened themselves and will want to take advantage of the situation to get as high as possible. Likewise, the five relegations will make the championship longer for everyone: I believe that the overall level of the tournament has risen compared to last year. We will try to be capable of achieving the set objective˝.

Basketball is not the only commitment in Lusvarghi's life: the player, in fact, is attending Computer Engineering at the University of Modena. Reconciling the two activities is not so simple, since ˝basketball training is daily, finding time to study is not easy. But here in Tortona I'm closer to home, I have more time to study and take exams: it's a situation that scares me less than last year, I'm more positive this season˝.
