A very high percentage in outside shooting allowed Staff Mantova to prevail at PalaOltrepò, at the end of a match which they still led for large stretches. A great final comeback wasn't enough for Derthona to win at the siren.

Balanced starting quarter at PalaOltrepò: after a good start for Juventus, Mantova finds offensive fluidity which allows them to overtake (18-20 at 10') with Maspero's triple. In the second half the visiting team kept ahead in the score, responding blow for blow to Bertram's baskets: the first half was then closed by Cortese's triple (34-38). In the third quarter, Staff widened their gap thanks to incredible three-point shooting precision and clarity in attack. In the final stages of the period, Bertram reduced the gap to 51-61 in the 30th minute. In the last quarter, Staff extended their lead to +17 (57-74) again taking advantage of their shots from beyond the arc: at that point the Lions began a furious comeback that brought them just one possession away, but Sanders' shot for the draw does not enter, and Mantova passes 74-79 at PalaOltrepò.
