Derthona's Under 17 Excellence at the “1st PBP Tournament” in Parma
First outing of the season with a trophy up for grabs for the youth sector Bertram Derthona. will be theUnder 17 Excellence the first team to take to the field, participating in the first edition of the PBP Tournament di Parma. The team coached by the technical manager of the Juventus youth sector, Luca Ansaloni, is one of the six invited by the organizers of the Parma Basketball Project to the competition that will take place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 al PalaMoisè and PalaCiti of the Emilian city.
OPPONENTS AND FORMULA In addition to Derthona Basketball They will be present Virtus Bologna, Vanoli Cremona, Fortitudo Bologna, FIPP Pordenone and hosts of Parma Basket Project, formations divided into the two Black and Silver groups. Fortitudo and FIPP (Futuro Insieme Pallacanestro Pordenone) will be the opponents of the young Bianconeri in the group stage of the first two days, which will determine the qualifiers for Sunday's finals. For the Lions quintet the Silver group matches are both scheduled for Saturday al PalaCiti, 11 hours against i Friulians and 16 hours against i Bolognese. The first classified in each group will qualify for the final for the title, second and third will face the respective 3rd-4th place and 5th-6th place finals.
STATEMENTS "For us it is one of the few occasions where we can have our U17 team play, in the sense that, due to the way we have set up the work we do, this tournament gives us the opportunity to put the training together and see not so much where we find these Boys. Therefore it will be an important moment of observation after the first month of training”, says coach Ansaloni. "What would I like to observe in particular? Having worked a lot on fundamental aspects and purely technical issues related to individual players, it would be nice to see some signs in this sense. Conversely, I don't expect at this stage to evaluate how we will play as a team, even if obviously it is something that will interest us more in the near future. Now, both on our part as technical staff and on their part as players, what matters most is to pay a lot of attention to these aspects of individual technique".
