The Allianz Derthona Tortona U17 Eccellenza team finished second in the regional final four in Corneliano d'Alba (CN) . After an 82-74 semifinal victory over Azimut Wealth Vado (Flueras 16 with 5 rebounds, Di Meo 13, Bresciani 17 with 3-of-5 three-pointers, Zampaloni 11 with 3-of-5 three-pointers, Bellinaso 20 with 6-of-8 two-pointers, 5-of-6 free throws, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists), the Gran Torino Draft put a stop to the Piedmontese title in the final. Despite a strong start in the third quarter by coach Talpo's boys, who managed to almost completely close the gap, it wasn't enough to trouble the Turin team, who maintained control of the game and took the final victory.
Vanni Talpo's team advances to the interregional stage as Piemonte 2, thus being placed in Group B, where they will face Aquila Basket Trento (1st place in Veneto/Trentino Alto Adige), UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia (2nd place in Emilia Romagna), Pallacanestro Varese (4th in Lombardy), Pallacanestro Moncalieri (5th in Piedmont), and Reyer Venezia (5th in Veneto/Trentino Alto Adige). This mini-group of six teams will play 10 rounds of home and away matches, with the top-placed team advancing directly to the National Finals in their respective categories, with the second- and third-place teams advancing to the playoffs.
