Lorenzo Ambrosin is a Derthona player
Bertram Yachts Derthona announces that it has reached an agreement with Lorenzo Ambrosin, a guard born in 1997 who has worn the jersey of M Rinnovabili Agrigento for the last three seasons.
CAREER – Born on 7 October 1997 in Motta di Livenza (TV), Ambrosin worked in the youth sector at Umana Reyer Venezia, the club with which he won the Under 15 Scudetto in the 2011/12 season. With the gold and gray shirt he came close to winning the tricolor on two other occasions: first with the Under 17s in 2014 (defeated in the final against Virtus Bologna at the end of a high-level season) and then with the Under 20s in 2016, when the Venetians are defeated by Cantù in the prestigious setting of Pianella.
In 2015, again with Reyer Venezia, Lorenzo took part in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, the youth tournament organized by the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. In 2013/14 he played his first senior championship with the Pallacanestro Favaro shirt, in Serie C Regionale, with which he scored 6.9 points per game.
From 2015 to 2017 he played two championships with the BC Jesolo jersey: the first, in C Silver, ended at almost 13 points on average, while the second - in C Gold - at 14.4 points per game. The performances of these two years earned him the call of M Rinnovabili Agrigento - one of the most consistent teams in recent years in Serie A2 Old Wild West - where Ambrosin remained for the last three seasons.
In the first year spent in Sicily, Lorenzo contributed to reaching the promotion playoffs - obtained thanks to seventh place in the regular season in the West Group - scoring almost 10 points on average in 25 minutes of use. The run of the team coached by Ciani was interrupted by elimination in the first round (3-0) at the hands of Fortitudo Bologna, then defeated by Novipiù Casale Monferrato in the semi-final.
In the following year Ambrosin increased his offensive performance (10.5 points per outing), even if the playoffs for Agrigento faded only in the final stages of the regular season after another tournament played at a high level. 2019/20 is a year in which Lorenzo confirms his growth - playing an important role in coach Devis Cagnardi's tactical board - scoring almost 11 points per game and contributing to the second place obtained by M Rinnovabili until the championship stopped.
Now Ambrosin arrives at Bertram Yachts Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
