Open letter from President Roberto Tava to Derthona Basket fans
Dear friends,
as you certainly know, the President of the Italian Basketball Federation Giovanni Petrucci, on 7 April 2020, declared the 2019/2020 sports season for the Men's Serie A2 championship concluded with immediate effect.
The "tsunami" that hit the world did not spare sport and forced us, in the space of a few weeks, to divert attention from the fight to reach the playoff grid and direct it towards protecting the health of our members and our family members.
In this very serious moment, which sees us all forced at home to fight against an invisible enemy, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you have never lacked, both in victories and defeats, for the demonstrations of esteem you have given us. and why not, even for the criticisms you have addressed to us, they also prove the attachment to our colours.
I assure you that the entire management has not stopped working for a single moment to plan the next season, in the hope of being able to resume activity as soon as possible in the venue that is most congenial to us, i.e. the playing field.
