The initiatives of Sunday 17 November
It will be a Sunday full of events that awaits Bertram Yachts Derthona on Sunday 17 November 2019, when the Lions will challenge Orlandina Basket at 18.00 pm at the PalaOltrepò in Voghera.
Inaugurating the afternoon of events linked to the Derthona Basket world will be the Aquilotti coached by Andrea Fanaletti, engaged - together with My Basket Genova and Virtus Categgio - in the fourth stage of the Mini Lions Cup – Memorial Luigino Fassino: the tournament will start at 13.45 pm on Sunday 17 November 2019 and will end, with the 1st-2nd place final, around 16.00 pm. The young athletes, at the end of their matches, will attend the pre-match warm-up of the A2 Series and, subsequently, will parade with the players of the two teams at the time of the presentation and the national anthem. The boys will once again be protagonists during the interval of the match between Derthona Basket and Orlandina, when they will take to the field for the awards ceremony of their event.
Close to the tap-off against the Sicilian team, Bertram Yachts Derthona will donate a check worth €2.000,00 - the sum obtained from the fundraising organized by the Club on the occasion of the match against Reale Mutua Torino - to the Paolo VI Center in Casalnoceto, who will be present with the Health Director Dr. Gianluigi De Agostini.
Among the initiatives scheduled for Sunday 17 November there will also be the award ceremony of the MVP of the month of October, in the moments before the start of the match, Andrejs Gražulis, voted by Juventus fans through the specific section on the site www.derthonabasket.it and on the Derthona Basket App. The Latvian player will receive a personalized plexiglass plate from GroupDigit, partner of the Club from this year and alongside it with regards to the selection of the MVP of each individual match and of the month.
Bertram Yachts Derthona and Orlandina Basket will also take part in the campaign #noviolencecontroledwomen promoted by LNP in collaboration with Pallacanestro Crema and aimed at raising awareness against gender violence and spreading a culture in support of personal rights and respect for women. The players and technical staff of both teams will stand in midfield displaying the special banner with which the initiative is promoted on the A2 and B pitches during this weekend.
Furthermore, Bertram Yachts Derthona and Orlandina, like the Serie A and A2 teams, will welcome the initiative promoted by the FIP (Italian Basketball Federation) expressing their closeness to the city and citizens of Venice, hard hit by the bad weather of recent days, through displaying the banner Go Venice in the moments immediately preceding the tap-off of the match scheduled for 18.00 pm.
