The dates of the Lions' pre-season
The start of Bertram Derthona's first season in Serie A is rapidly approaching: the meeting in the city is set for Tuesday 10 August. In the following days the players will undergo the ritual medical examinations and tests carried out by the Club's medical-physical staff.
After the first days in Tortona, the team will move to Sauze d'Oulx from Monday 16th to Wednesday 25th August, for the pre-season training camp. The first training sessions of the season will take place there in preparation for the official commitments that await the Lions.
The first scrimmage of the season is set for Saturday 28 August in Reggio Emilia against Unahotels, while four days later, Wednesday 1 September, the Lions will be on stage on the Openjobmetis Varese pitch.
After these two commitments, it will be time for the Super Cup, which will start for the Bianconeri on Monday 6 September in Trieste.
Thus the assistant coach Vanni Talpo: ʺThis year the retreat will be carried out with the aim of uniting a group made up of equal numbers of Italian and foreign players in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, the lower temperatures of Sauze will allow us to train with greater quality. Once the training camp is over we will face two teams that we will then meet again in the championship: these two scrimmages will be useful to understand the level of Serie A and the things we can improve on. The subsequent Super Cup matches will also be useful to continue our growth path in a stimulating and competitive contextʺ.
