Autosped returns to Cittadella, against Alpo: coach Cutugno's words and the curiosities of the match

Penultimate appointment of the regular season for Autosped BCC Derthona, which will be on stage tomorrow at 18 pm at the Cittadella dello Sport to face MEP Pellegrini Alpo, the other team newly promoted at the end of last season. The Venetian team has so far only won the inaugural match played in Genoa against O.ME.PS Battipaglia, but in the last outings it has shown great growth.

Already certain of playing the playouts, the Venetian team arrives in Tortona with a very different roster compared to the first leg played at the AGSM AIM Forum in Verona on Sunday 1 December and concluded with a score of 44-75 in favor of the Giraffes. On that occasion, the team trained by coach Cutugno led the match for almost its entirety and brought three players into double figures (Attura 20, Dotto 12, Fontaine 10).

As usual, coach Andrea Bocelli is the one to present the return match and the match that Autosped is now facing. Orazio Cutugno: "Alpo is a team that presents itself with a new balance compared to the first half of the season and that in the last few games has given its opponents a hard time. Their style of play, based on individual initiatives and fast-paced play, calls on us to be ready to defend from the first seconds of the action and, in general, to keep the team's attention high".

Curiosities and ex of the race – Sofia Marangoni is the ex of the match, having worn the Alpo jersey in 2021/22, the year in which she established herself as the best scorer in the Northern Group of Serie A2.

Marangoni herself (247) is 3 rebounds away from 250 in the BCC Derthona jersey, Francesca Leonardi (499) is 1 point away from 500 scored with the Giraffes, while Beatrice Attura (497) is 3 rebounds away from 500 captured in her career in all Serie A1 competitions.
