Defeat on the Brescia field for Autosped BCC Derthona, at the end of a match in which the team coached by Cutugno chased for long stretches. The balance in pace and score characterized the entire duration of the match, which was resolved only in the final stages. The next championship appointment will see the Giraffe on stage in Sassari on Saturday 1 February at 15 pm.
First period with a high score at PalaLeonessa: Brixia finds great precision in shooting from outside (5/10) to lead, but BCC stays in touch thanks to the initiatives of Dotto and Fontaine (16 points between them). At 10' Lombardy leads 24-22. In the second period the shooting percentages of the two teams drop but the balance remains: at half-time Brescia leads by 38-37.
The third quarter is characterized again by low percentages for both teams. Togliani and Penna are the offensive reference points for Brescia and BCC respectively and move the score: we enter the last ten minutes of the game with the home team in the lead 49-47. In the last fraction Brixia tries to extend, reaching the 7-point margin (58-51) with 4 minutes to go but Penna and Fontaine bring Autosped back into contact (60-58) with 90 seconds to go. In the final stages, the Lombardy team maintains its lucidity and wins 66-61.

We need to improve in involving Amanda Zahui B on the court and find the right chemistry to continue growing. There is regret for this defeat, after the excellent first part of the championship that we played".
Coach's comment Orazio Cutugno: "I congratulate Brescia. We could have made better choices in attack, we suffered their defense on the pick'n'roll and we settled for the three-point shot instead of sharing the ball more and in the end we paid for Brescia's quality. Let's look at one game at a time, even from tonight we have a lot to learn. Our path is made up of an excellent first half of the season and an excellent qualification for the Final Four of the Coppa Italia, but we must continue to evolve and express our talent".
