Autosped BCC Derthona returns to success after a balanced and high-scoring first half, returning from the locker room with great defensive attitude, thus fueling the energy in attack. This success, the result of great team spirit (30 assists) and five players in double figures (Zahui B. and Penna 16, Leonardi 14, Dotto 12, Attura 11), allows the Giraffes to consolidate their current fourth position in the standings and to prepare themselves as best as possible for the last regular season match, scheduled for Thursday 27 March at 19.30:XNUMX pm at the Cittadella dello Sport against -E-Work Faenza.

Effective start of the match by Autosped, who, pushed by Zahui B. and Penna, reaches the maximum advantage at +7 (13-6), before suffering the opponent's comeback inspired by Moriconi and Keller: at 10' the score is 23-22. In the second period, the team coached by Cutugno, thanks to the offensive unity and high percentages from the field, extends and reaches the double-digit margin, but the guests remain in contact thanks to the baskets from outside and the rim: at half-time BCC ahead 50-42.

The 20-0 with which the team coached by Cutugno opens the third quarter splits the game: Autosped is solid in defense and precise in attack, finds spaces in Alpo's defense and updates its margin several times, reaching +28 (70-42). At the end of the quarter the Venetians shorten to -24 (76-52) with which the period ends. The last quarter seals the success of the Giraffes, which arrives with the score of 92-62.

The words of Francesca Leonardi: “We played a good team game, finding the contribution of all the players. We knew we had to be solid against a team that attacks in the first seconds of the action. I am very proud of the team, now we are preparing for the last challenge of the regular season against Faenza at home, and then prepare for the playoffs”.

Coach's comment Orazio Cutugno: "It was a game with two faces: in the first half we allowed Alpo a little too many initiatives, while in the second half we had a different defensive approach, managing to run the field on the counterattack and find good shots in attack. We face the rest round by giving the girls a few days off before preparing ourselves as best as possible for the match against Faenza and then the playoffs".
