Coach Galli's corner – VL Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro

The last day of the regular season is approaching for Bertram Derthona, who on Sunday evening will know their position in the playoff grid and their opponent in the quarter-finals. The Bianconeri's regular season ends against VL Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro, in the match scheduled for Sunday 7 May at 18pm. The characteristics of the next opponents were presented, as usual, by the assistant coach Massimo Galli:

“We're going to play at the Vitrifrigo Arena against a team that has to win to try to get into the playoffs. Pesaro is led by Jasmin Repesa, a coach who needs no introduction and who has won ten championships and several cups in three different championships (Italy, Turkey, Croatia).

The direction is completely Italian: Moretti, returning from an excellent season, and Tambone ensure the leadership of the team, despite having different characteristics. Acting alongside them is Abdur-Rahkman, one of the revelations of the championship, protagonist of the first leg with 19 points on the scoresheet. In the external department, depending on the technical choices on the foreigners, Gudmunsson may find space, who guarantees solidity in defense.

The external department is completed with Visconti, an excellent shooter, Delfino, an icon of Argentine and world basketball who at forty years of age confirms himself as the team's leader, and Charalampopoulos, who gives '3' and, on some occasions, '4', guarantees variety of solutions both on the perimeter and near the basket.

Rotating from '4' are Cheatam, a rookie in our league and very dangerous in three-point shooting (38.1% on almost 7 attempts per game) and - depending on the rotations - Austin Daye who I had the pleasure of coaching in Venice: he's a go -to-guy who is adapting to playing a different role. Under the basket, Kravic and Totè guarantee defensive solidity and a good offensive contribution."
