Coach Galli's corner – Umana Reyer Venice
New important championship event for Bertram Derthona, which will be on stage at PalaTaliercio on Saturday 8 April at 20pm to face theUmana Reyer Venice in the match valid for the 25th day of the 2022/23 Unipolsai Serie A championship. Presenting the characteristics of the next opponents is, as usual, the assistant coach Massimo Galli:
“Venice is led by a great coach like Spahija, who won 14 titles in his career and was part of the NBA staff in Atlanta and Memphis, who replaced De Raffaele – a coach who made Reyer history – during the season. In the control room there are a EuroLeague level point guard like Granger, who needs no introduction, Spissu, director of the national team and deadly three-point shooter, and De Nicolao, one of the team's historic players.
The guards are the newly arrived Mokoka, who demonstrated his athleticism and qualities in Milan, and another athlete in the national team like Moraschini, capable of doing various useful things for the team. The '3' are Bramos, an excellent shooter from outside, symbol of Reyer's recent successes, and Parks, a great athlete inclined to run the field on the counterattack.
Alternating as '4' is Willis, one of the best players of the last EuroCup, already seen in Italy in Brindisi. His shooting and athleticism are his best qualities. Behind him is Brooks, an experienced player with a wealth of high-level experience. Under the basket are Watt, gifted with great talent and good at moving near the rim, and Tessitori, who has been growing greatly in recent weeks (13 points on average in the last three Serie A games, 16.6 in the last three played including the EuroCup). Completing the forward department is Chillo, a player who does useful things for the team."
