Coach Galli's corner – Dolomiti Energia Trentino
The start of the playoffs is approaching for Bertram Derthona, who will take to the field on Sunday 14 May at 18pm at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris to face Dolomiti Energia Trentino. Presenting the characteristics of the opponents was, as usual, the assistant coach Massimo Galli:
“We start the playoffs by challenging Trento, who we have already met three times during the season. The direction is completely Italian: Flaccadori is confirming himself among the best playmakers in the championship, Spagnolo won the Best Under 22 award in the championship and Forray is the veteran and the flagship of the team. All three can also play guard.
Alongside them are Lockett, a great defender who is ready on every occasion, and Crawford, MVP of the championship with the Cremona shirt, as number '3': in the season he shoots 43% from three points on over 4 attempts competing. His replacement is Luca Conti, a player I coached in Pesaro: he is an excellent defender and a good offensive rebounder, always ready to make his contribution.
Grazulis plays as '4', former player of the match, skilled three-point shooter and post-up player; his replacement is Udom who can also take the field as a '5'. The long department is completed by Atkins, dangerous in shooting from the distance midrange and Ladurner who has had a troubled season but is carving out a role for himself in the team. The team's coach is Emanuele Molin, in his third season as head coach in Trentino: this season he kept the team in the playoff zone throughout the year and led them to sixth place".
