Fiery start to 2023 for the group U19 Excellence. Tonight another commitment at the PalaCamagna, at 21pm the bottom runners-up Zeta Esse Ti Teens Biella arrives against whom they will avenge the defeat of the season's absolute debut.
But what helped overcome the hint of disappointment was the double satisfaction that arrived in the youth tournament, where the Tortona team resumed their efforts in the Group 4 National first with an away blitz against ABA Legnano and then with the important play-off for fourth place in the standings against Novipiù Campus Piemonte. The 72-68 in San Giorgio su Legnano was legitimized by leading the score for the entire match with the exception of an overtaking by the Lombards 7' from the end, promptly repelled to continue the chase for the top three positions which are worth qualification for the Finals Nationals. The guests arriving from Corneliano d'Alba were also forced to squander a +15 during the second quarter, and the +10 at the interval, due to the double score of points from Errica and Biaggini, the defensive tenacity of Farias, of Baldi's triples, of coach Ansaloni's tactical moves and of everyone's contribution. Even if the MVP was the heart of Riccardo Armanino, leonine as per the company symbol with his winning offensive rebounding battles and his +18 plus/minus in the 16' played.
