The week of the Juventus youth teams: U17 Eccellenza wins its group, U19 highlights against Biella Next
The second week of competitions of the 2022 youth championships in Piedmont gives the Bertram Yachts Derthona Basket significant results for the two teams Excellence in dentistry older. L'Under 17 the first phase ends with a victory which seals first place in the standings, theUnder 19 you take a success of technique and character against a worthy opponent.
The first place finish in the Ligurian-Piedmontese Group A was not in question for theU17, but the tenth victory in twelve races served to further legitimize him, finishing alone with 20 points in the standings. On the home parquet of the PalaCamagna, a trio of Bianconeri were on top against My Basket Genova, "splitting" the pitch: Remigio Bellinaso from beyond the arc with 5 triples, Gloris Tambwe dominating the two colored areas and Stefano Vio above all the 28 meters giving energy to the Bianconeri from his entrance at the beginning of the second quarter which quickly overturned the -9 of the first ten minutes. Now we await the start of the second "Top" phase, in which the team coached by Luca Ansaloni will start from scratch, competing with a new round trip group of eight teams: the first four classified in the other Ligurian-Piedmontese group, in 'order College Basketball Borgomanero, San Mauro Basket, Don Bosco Crocetta Torino and a final yet to be defined between Biella Next and Novara Basket, and the three that followed it in the rankings in its group, Novipiù Campus Piemonte, Pall. I go and Basket Turin.
In the single Ligurian-Piedmontese group, a good performance for theU19 who beat Biella Next at home despite a roster reduced almost to the bone and showing great signs of improvement compared, for example, to -20 in the first leg at the Biella Forum. Always ahead in scoring from start to finish were Ansaloni's boys, set off by Matteo Lisini's great first quarter, a showman in attack and rebounding for his team also in the remainder (20 points + 9 rebounds) together with Tambwe (19+ 11+5 blocks), then in the fourth period the team's resistance to the guests' comeback attempt was encouraging, with Leonardo Pezzulla managing the direction with dedication despite physical problems that arose towards the end.
Nothing to do for the third Eccellenza team, theU15, forced to bow to Langhe Roero Basketball and Genoa to My Basket, against which, however, Andrea Fanaletti's Bianconeri showed off a convincing performance, narrowly missing out on home success against the third-placed team of the tournament. In front of the vice-leaders of the Green Group, JB Monferrato, the team had to surrenderU16 Gold. To close the picture, in the senior championship of the Lombard C Silver, theOlympia Voghera, formed by the U19 Eccellenza group of Derthona Basket, closed the first phase without any joys, this time it was Arcadis Corsico who won the PalaOltrepo.
