The week of the Juventus youth teams: Bordoni gives the first joy to the U15 Eccellenza, the U17 achieves seven goals
A narrow victory to make it even more special, the league leaders continuing their unstoppable run and lots of satisfaction from the other teams too. For the youth sector of Bertram Derthona it was a week with a truly Christmas flavour, the penultimate of 2021 races.
A basket a few seconds from the end by Riccardo Bordoni breaks the victory taboo forU15 Excellence. In the direct clash with PGS Auxilium the boys coached by Andrea Fanaletti won with the overtaking made by the captain 14" from the end for the final 63-62, finally being able to smile at the eighth attempt of the season and doing it in one of the most exciting ways possible.
Instead, the seven bell droppedU17 Excellence, increasingly the solitary leader of one of the two Ligurian-Piedmontese groups after the clear success at the home of 5 Pari Torino, where it once again reached 90 points with Gloris Tambwe coming close to the win and Ilija Miladinovic born in 2006 celebrating the his first career outing in the black and white jersey, scoring 8 points. Next appointment in the new year with the internal match on Sunday 9 January at 10 am against My Basket Genova.
He continues to experience no defeats on the pitchU19 Silver, Paolo De Ros' team, co-leaders of the Blue group, have an easy time in the spin with Pall. Trino, just as he doubled the success of the first leg theU16 Gold, Cristian Repetto leads coach Tommaso Della Godenza's scorers with 19 points followed by Edoardo Bordoni's 16 to beat bottom team Kolbe Torino. The undefeated leaders CUS Torino are too strong for theU14 Gold, at the PalaCamagna the Juventus boys still show progress after a negative start, driven by Matteo Speretta's initiatives and above all by Mattia Censurini's combativeness inside the area. To close the positive week of the Derthona youth teams the winning away matchU13 Silver, at the home of the Asti Basket School, Stefano Cova's boys make the recovery of the third round and rise to the solitary command of the Blue Group standings, on the shields Lorenzo Bruno and his 25 points on the scoreboard.
