Start of contract for Olympia Voghera in the first championship match, played against a young opponent who had energy as his best weapon. Thanks to great defensive solidity – which forced Bernareggio to score just 17 points in 20' – Olympia went into the break with the lead. A 0-9 score at the start of the third quarter changed the inertia of the match, with the hosts experiencing greater difficulty in controlling the match: in the final Voghera was unable to materialize the various opportunities it had to win. Despite the defeat there is great confidence because the group is new and needs to be tested, but already from the Castronno trip the objective will be to start again from the positive things of this first outing, increasing the compactness and the ability to react to difficulties.

Challenging opponent for Bertram Derthona in the first outing of the season: opposed to Cantù, who finished in third place in the National Category Finals last year, the Bianconeri played a solid match for the entire first half, finishing behind for 25-38. The greater physicality and experience allowed the guests to lead the match, further extending their margin in the third set thanks to excellent shooting percentages from outside and baskets on the counterattack from recovered balls: at the buzzer Cantù triumphed 54-92. The Lions will have to start again from the good things shown in the first two quarters, trying to improve team chemistry to better face the upcoming matches, taking advantage of the mistakes made on this occasion.
