Derthona beats Orzinuovi 87-77 after extra time. The return to the PalaOltrepo' of the Leoni sees in the background the fundraising of the charity association "Una mano per..", but, although it is a pre-season match, Bertram and Agribertocchi play with good intensity. The Bianconeri are without Stefanelli, but the Lions' start is one of the best. After a few seconds the Montenegrin Radonjic scores the triple which opens the ball for both teams. Valenti and Sollazzo don't give up, but among coach Pansa's ranks there are Johnson and Spanghero who give their opponents four consecutive triples. At the end of the first quarter the Lions found themselves 23-15. Orzinuovi starts the second period with the best intentions of reversing the trend. In Derthona the performers change but Valenti and Sollazzo are the protagonists and score 9 and 7 points respectively. The two leaders from Brescia thus completed the comeback which allowed the team to take the lead at halftime with a score of 36-41. In the third period, coach Pansa's men show their best characteristics in front of the home crowd who did not want to give up the first home match for the Bianconeri. Garri and Sorokas close the gap by closing at -1 (54-55). The last period was played at a thrilling pace, it went point to point with Spanghero and Mei who from within seven meters put the Lions at +3. In the final stages of the game Olasewere condemned Derthona to overtime where the two triples from Radonjic and Johnson at the end delivered their first home victory.
