The youth celebration and the presentation of the «Grosso d'oro»
TORTONA. First the celebration of the youth sector teams, after the delivery of the «Grosso d'oro» to the club by the municipal administration. Following a remarkable season, Derthona was awarded the prize announced by the Municipality. The awarding of the prize took place at 18pm after the youth sector's end-of-year party. The councilors Graziano, Colacino, Semino and the mayor Gianluca Bardone took to the stage of the PalaCamagna and presented the prize consisting of the reproduction of an ancient coin minted by the Tortona mint in medieval times. President Roberto Tava received the recognition on behalf of the club, in the presence of various Tortona managers Luigino Fassino and Marco Picchi, as well as the youth sector teams. The official motivation contains a summary of Tortona's history from its registration in 1955, its arrival in Serie C in the 80s, the support of Guido Ghisolfi, the team made up of Tortona players who in the 90s under coach Mario Armana played for ten years in C1. With the support of Marco Ghisolfi in 2009 Petar Naumoski arrived in C2 in Tortona, followed by the rise from C2 to A2 in recent years.
